If you’ve arrived at my website its’s likely that despite your best efforts, you, or someone you care about is struggling to find a sense of stability, self resilience or energy to enjoy their life as they once did. As an Intergrative Accredited Therapist with a specialism in working with Children and Young adults ( 7 - 25 years) I regularly work with vulnerable children, young people, parents and professionals who want to support their well being and mental health enough to rediscover a sense of themselves from a kinder and calmer place.
For variety of reasons, some children and young people may develop fears, limiting beliefs or big emotions which may seem at odds with their developmental stage, peers or family experience. As no two children (or adult) experiences their lives or distress in the same way, I have solid experience of providing therapeutic support that is specific to a client’s needs, based on where they are today and specifically so.
As we rarely recover well in isolation, My specialism towards working Child and Young Adults intergrates aspects of;m Attachment theory, Child development, Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACES) working with Stress and Window of Tolerances, to include aspects of creative art and body based therapy to meet a child or young adult where they are today and specifically so. Working in this way and assessing distress via these lens recognizes the fact that words are not enough and our experiences are held in out bodies as well as our minds.
“The most daunting thing about starting therapy is finding the right therapist. I feel incredibly lucky to have found Stella’s practice, not only because she is a great listener, but also knows how to help my thoughts flow in the right direction”. Una 25
